Puez, Geisler, Peitlerkofel… alpine trekking requires reliable weather protection. However, there are days when a 3-layer jacket feels rather excessive, but where you still need a back-up waterproof shell.
The Puez GORE-TEX PACLITE® Jacket is designed to be as lightweight, packable and breathable as possible, without any compromises on durability. Its 2-layer laminate construction features a GORE-TEX® membrane directly bonded to an outer shell that’s covered by a durable protective layer and given a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) finish. In addition, as part of our environmental commitment, we choose to use a recycled version, which is also bluesign® approved. It has extreme breathability (RET <6 m2Pa/W), a solid waterproof spec (water column rating: 28,000 mm) with welded seams, and a waterproof front zip.
In addition, you get ergonomic sleeves and shoulders for a good fit, a tailored, rear-adjustable hood, two pockets (both with waterproof zips) and Velcro-adjust cuffs.
This jacket is a Salewa Committed product made with bluesign® approved fabrics that use no environmentally critical substances and are as green as possible.

GORE-TEX® product technology provides reliable weather protection and
maximum comfort for a wide range of activities. These garments keep your
body dry by allowing perspiration vapour to escape, so you remain cool
during activity and warm during rest breaks and afterwards.
The GORE-TEX® membrane is completely water- and windproof and at the
same time allows sweat to pass through it. The membrane is formed by
pores (over 9 billion pores per square inch) which are 20,000 times smaller
than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule
preventing water penetration and helping the skin breathe. Resistance tested
in the lab, simulating the most extreme atmospheric conditions.

2-LAYER CONSTRUCTION
Garments made with 2-layer GORE-TEX® fabric are the versatile solution for
style, comfort and protection against the elements.
3-LAYER CONSTRUCTION
Garments made with 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric offer added durability without
extra bulk. The reduced number of layers required mean less weight and
more freedom of movement.
We also use GORE-TEX Stretch - a 3L fabric in our mountaineering line.
